After the expansion hardware is removed from the first processed sections, it is reconnected on the adjacent host pipe and Duraliner™ starting stock. The first section is trimmed back, leaving approximately a 1' length of expanded PVC. This is repeated for the adjacent Duraliner™ section.

The sizing sleeve allows the use of standard fittings. In these illustrations, the Duraliner™ is shown expanded to the outside diameter of the host pipe. In this case, the host pipe is assumed to be a standard ductile iron water main.

Both expanded sections are trimmed with a square cut made by standard equipment (gas powered cut-off saw with a PVC blade). These sections can then be joined with standard ductile iron size connection clamps and a length of appropriate PVC water main. EBAA Iron RS-3800 (or equal fittings) are shown here joining the two renewed pieces together with standard PVC pipe.
