Underground Solutions Awarded Cuyahoga Co. Water Main Replacement Project in Cleveland, OH for Fusible C-900® and Duraliner™

In March 2007, Underground Solutions, Inc. (UGSI) was contracted by Fabrizi Trucking & Paving of Middleburg Heights, OH to provide UGSI's Fusible C-900® pipe and fusion services for a water main horizontal directional drill conducted by Precision Directional Boring of Brunswick, OH. UGSI's Duraliner™ pipeline rehabilitation system will also be installed to rehabilitate 2 sections of 12" cast iron water main along rail road tracks intersecting with Berea Road. UGSI will complete their portion of the work in April 2007.

UGSI's Fusible C-900® pipe was selected for its ability to provide Cuyahoga County with a fully restrained, gasketless C900 water pipe that could be directionally drilled in highly developed areas. Cuyahoga County also welcomed the use of Duraliner™ due to their need for a structural renewal of their existing 12" cast iron main that maximizes the flow capability of the existing host pipe. Reconnections to the Fusible C-900® and Duraliner™ will be made with standard MJ fittings.

Duraliner™ Pipeline Rehabilitation System
