Underground Solutions Provides 30" FPVC™ Pipe as Casing for Dam Project in Rio Rancho, NM
In December of 2007, Underground Solutions, Inc. (UGSI) contracted with Baker Supply and Melendez Concrete, Inc. to provide pipe and fusion services for the installation of a 30" FPVC™ pipe casing. The casing was used to install a 15" sewer line in a dam located in Rio Rancho, NM.

The City of Rio Rancho requested FPVC™ pipe for the sewer line casing. Because the dam construction design called for double-casing, a 36" steel outer casing was lined with a 30" FPVC™ inner casing, and the 15" sewer carrier pipe was then inserted inside the FPVC™ pipe. FPVC™ pipe was selected as the carrier pipe for the sewer line because it provided a leak-free, corrosion-resistant, high strength-to-weight ratio casing pipe. Melendez Concrete, located in Rio Rancho, completed the sliplining in December 2007.
